My kryptonite

Donuts. I cannot say no to a good donut.

For our wedding (the second for both of us) we had mini-donuts instead of cake.

I’ve organized two donut crawls with scoring sheets and everything. That’s me with scoring pen in one hand, donut in the other, and crumbs all over my shirt.

So, when I found out there was a malasada truck close to where we were staying on The Big Island, I made sure we stopped to try it out. They were just as delicious as they look.

What’s your kryptonite?

I debated on my writing approach today, but you have helped me find my way…not in the “What is your kryptonite?” question, but in the response. Believe it or not, it leads me to the book I’m several pages away from finishing, (the kind you don’t want to leave behind, it’s that good?) and debated writing about but now must! Thanks. Donuts…maybe not, but terrific books? Yup!

Peach pineapple – sounds like my idea of a tropical paradise. I would say that sweets in general are my downfall.

Those doughnuts are beautiful! If I could eat gluten, they’d be my kryptonite too.

For me, it’s chocolate in most forms… just not mousse. (I detest chocolate mousse!) I have a hard time resisting it.

Vivian, spectacular! I don’t think of myself as a donut person, although I do love a good donut. In fact, this week we finally stopped at a “made-to-order” donut shop. We sat at the bar and ate a warm donut covered in Heath bar pieces, chocolate and caramel. So decadent! The Hawaiian donuts look incredible. It is so funny that you organized a donut crawl!

Donuts are usually something I can resist, if I’m in the right frame of mind to resist anything sugary, but your post now has me craving a good donut. Those photos look so delicious! (As an aside: my spellcheck is telling me I’ve spelled donut wrong–they suggest I should be spelling it donuts–apparently one never should have only one!) I love how, with just a few lines, you’ve done such a great job of conveying how much you love them.

Donuts should always be in the plural!

I love donuts and cake. Hmmm…is that my kryptonite? Thanks for sharing the different ways your kryptonite has been incorporated into your night.
