The Breakfast (Burrito) Club

Published by

The review above is from the founder of the Long Beach Breakfast Burrito Club (LBBBC), Manny. It’s just one example of the detailed commentary he gives for each breakfast burrito he tries. Others have weighed in as well, but honestly, no one has matched Manny’s prose and ability to capture all the necessary information.

The LBBBC isn’t so much a club as it is a loose gathering. It’s starts with a Friday text invitation with the event information. The motto is “Huevo can make it, makes it,” and that’s what happens. Some people ride their bikes, some walk, and still others drive to the destination of the week. Once burritos are ordered and consumed, a discussion of the rating and ranking typically follow. Along the way, conversations about the latest shows watched, books read, or the news of the day, may find their way in between bites.

It’s a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning if you want to enjoy the company of an eclectic group of intelligent , kind, and caring folks, while enjoying a delicious (hopefully) breakfast burrito.

    Vivian,

”pork chop breakfast burrito”! 🤣 I see a mentor text for students when I read that. I know h.s. kids would appreciate “big ass mason jar”! Love this community you have. We need more such gatherings—and reviews!

It is so nice to get together with friends over a meal. Breakfast is not usually a meal we go out for. Our group does lunches.

We enjoyed vegetarian burrito bowls while we were in Germany.

I like a burrito bowl even more than a burrito!

Fun review—lest we take ourselves too seriously! Love the chunky bacon/pork chop comment, and the wowsa horchata warning. I’m hungry now, so…
