Back in my May, my husband, stepkids, and I decided we could all use a little detox. So we challenged ourselves to a month without vices. After negotiating all of life’s events and situations that would make this difficult, we finally settled on September.
I agreed to give up alcohol for the month, but since I don’t drink much anyway, I decided to also give up dessert. Not sugar mind you! Let’s not get too crazy. Just dessert.
So here we are on day 10 and even though I rarely drink, every cocktail I see on social media looks so tempting! And don’t get me started on dessert. While I do have a major sweet tooth, I don’t eat dessert thaaaaaat often. But why does that box of Trader Joe’s lemon bars keep calling my name?!
Supposedly at the end of this, we’re all going to get a family tattoo paid for by the first person to lose this challenge. My husband, who has never wanted a tattoo agreed to this, which makes me think he doesn’t think we’re going to make it to the end of the challenge. I’m going to stay strong though, even with that tub of ice cream staring at me every time I open the freezer!

Now I am so curious about the family tattoo! Is the design agreed upon? Tell us more!

Good luck with this! I do a “no sugar” month in October…your “no sugar” comment hit home with me. I have something sweet every day, an addict I! (Remember I went out and bought Red Vines after your post last week!)Those first eight days are brutal, but after that, it gets..easier?

Every October?! That would be tough–how could I avoid eating all the candy I buy “just in case we get trick-or-treaters.” We never do. LOL.
