Morning naps

It’s Saturday morning, about 10:30 am, just the right time for…a nap. While I also love an afternoon nap, you really can’t do that when you’re working.

My husband and I often wake up before 6 am on weekend mornings. This means we’ve walked the dog, made and finished breakfast and coffee, read the “paper” and maybe even done some cleaning or laundry, all before the brunch crowd has even woken up. (Side question: what is the appropriate time for brunch? and why is the correct answer 10?) So when 10:00, 10:30 rolls around it feels right to take a little dog nap before continuing on for the rest of the day. Sometime people look at me funny when I tell them I nap in the morning, but Ginger never seems to mind.

Well, I’m fascinated that you wake up so early on the weekend! When I woke up that early, a morning nap is delicious indeed.

I love a good mid morning nap! Especially when you wake up, hit the ground running, and accomplish so much before the brunch crowd even takes the first sip of their breakfast beverage (I would say 10 or 11 is the ideal time!) Nothing like an “I’ve already earned this” nap, with plenty of day left when you wake up.

I love a nap at any time of day. My husband and I are really early risers, too. (And early to bed-ers!) We rise at 5:30 even on weekend days to read and listen to the dawn chorus, so a mid- to late-morning nap sounds perfect!

I am an early riser and a nap at 10:30 is perfect!! Also, brunch is one of those meals I don’t understand.

Being retired, 2:00 is my nap time. Of course, if I followed the cats’ example, any time is nap time.
