It seems like just yesterday we were saying, “Please 2021 be better than 2020!” Now 2021 has almost come and gone and was it better than 2020? My husband and I were chatting right before winter break and looking forward to our upcoming trip to Cabo San Lucas. Like many others, 2021 felt really hard for us. Being educators proved more challenging than ever and in November we lost our beloved Rottie, Princess. We both agreed that we were ready for 2021 to be over.
I started thinking about writing a post about all the hard things that happened over the year, but as I looked at our photos, I realized there were actually many highlights. I tried to choose just one thing from each month, but most months had multiple things to celebrate. It was a good reminder to not let the dark times overshadow the light.
The good and happy times are always there if we look for them. Glad you searched and found them.
You have had many reasons to smile this year as is eveident form your photos. “Don’t let the dark times overshadow the light” – good reminder when looking back.
This is an activity I could see would be good for the soul, seeking out those things to celebrate. Thank you for reminding us of this idea. It gets lost in life.
Happy New Year! 🙂
