Yesterday I got a handwritten thank you note in my mailbox at home from a principal I work with. It was sent with a postage stamp and everything! While it was just a short message of gratitude, it meant the world to me to know that she put in the effort to write the words by hand, find a stamp, and put the envelope in a mailbox. It’s so easy now to just shoot a text or hit send on an email. I’d like to say I’m now going to set a goal to send at least one handwritten letter a week or something like that, but that would just be setting myself up for failure. I will, however, do my best to send one more often than I am now.
Part of her message to me was, “After yesterday’s PD, I’m inspired to organize my Google Drive…” The PD I presented wasn’t about organization, so I’m going to have to go back to my notes to find what I might’ve said to inspire her. And then I’ll say those things to myself so I too will get motivated to organize my Google Drive.
